In a part of a consortium effort for targeted gene editing, the postdoc
will be involved in elucidating a molecular mechanism that governs the
self-assembly and the quarternary metastability of synthetic protein
capsids. Specific topics include, but are not limited to, the study of 1) a
protein-based capsid in the packaging of heterologous nucleotides, 2) the
structural descriptors contributing to the protein self-assembly, 3)
the protein
subunits engineered for cancer probing or immunogen display.
