For those of you who know Alasdair McDowall, please join me in congratulating him for being recognized by her royal majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the prestigious honor “Member of the Order of Australia”.

The citation reads: “For significant service to Science, particularly in the field of Electron Microscopy. His research included performing key experiments that culminated in the awarding of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry to his supervisor Professor Jacques Dubochet, and two of his colleagues in 2017.”

He will receive the award at Buckingham Palace. The official notice is attached.

Congratulations, Alasdair!
