The US National Academy of Sciences is beginning a large study in the field of biophysics, and hope to have good representation from the CryoEM community. Please see the attached announcement, with a link to nominate people to participate on the committee performing this study. It's useful for the field to have good representation in these studies, as they are often used by those deciding on US funding priorities and for strategic pkanning.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Decadal Assessment on Biological Physics: The Physics of Living Systems

How might the United States realize the full potential of biophysics? What are the most compelling research directions for biophysics in the next decade? To answer these questions, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine is conducting a decadal assessment on biological physics with support from the National Science Foundation.

Community input is critical for the success of this decadal assessment, which will be used by federal agencies, policymakers, and academic leadership to make informed decisions about funding, workforce, and research directions.
