Dear All,

The Microscopy and Imaging Center of Texas A&M University will be conducting a 2-day mini workshop on Cryo EM on February 12-13, 2019. The workshop will comprise of lectures covering different aspects of Cryo EM, including sample preparation, imaging, computational image analysis, and CLEM. There will be demonstrations of specimen preparation using methods like plunge freezing, cryo-ultramicrotomy and imaging cryo-fixed specimens in TEM. Short, hands-on sessions for computational image analysis will be conducted, with a limited number of seats. Participants will need to bring their own laptops with LINUX or Mac OSX.

The course is ideal for graduate students and postdoctoral scientists with limited experience in cryo EM and for researchers/faculties planning to use combined cryo EM and CLEM.

List of confirmed speakers:

Steven Ludtke, Baylor College of Medicine
Pawel Penczek, The University of Texas - McGovern Medical School
Uel J McMahan, Texas A&M University
