ETH Zurich and its Scientific Center for Optical and Electron Microscopy (ScopeM) seek to hire a Senior scientist & expert in Cryo Electron Microscopy as of March 1st, 2019 or upon agreement.



ScopeM - as a central scientific technology platform of ETH Zurich - provides resources, services and expertise in light and electron microscopy. It maintains state-of-the art microscopy equipment and supports a variety of interdisciplinary research as well as training programs. ScopeM operates numerous transmission and scanning electron microscopes as well as Focused Ion Beam SEM. This includes in particular one Titan Krios FEG equipped with Falcon III 4K Direct Detector, Ceta 16 M 4K camera, Gatan K2 and GIF Quantum LS, as well as phase plate and one Titan Krios G3i XFEG with Ceta 16 M 4K camera, Gatan K3 and GIF Quantum LS. It also includes one Tecnai F20 equipped with Falcon II 4K Direct Detector, Orius SC 200 2K CCD Camera and GIF. Furthermore ScopeM operates a cryo-FIBSEM (FEI Helios 600 i), a cryo-CLEM (FEI CorrSight) and numerous sample preparation tools.
