Short Description:
You will be a part of a Wellcome Trust funded collaborative project between the Zooniverse team (www.zooniverse.org<http://www.zooniverse.org/<http://www.zooniverse.org<http://www.zooniverse.org/>>) at the University of Oxford and the Scientific Software team at Diamond Light Source. The goals of this project are

  *   to automate classification of biological 3D images by developing the segmentation software SuRVoS Workbench (https://diamondlightsource.github.io/SuRVoS/). This will include working closely both within the collaborative project and with visiting scientists on various imaging instruments at Diamond Light Source to understand the project goals and help design and implement computational solutions.
  *   broaden the reach of these computational solutions by integrating algorithms and workflows into the citizen science platform Zooniverse. This will include a strong outreach component to interact with the citizen scientists on the Zooniverse platform.
  *   creating an annotated, accessible archive for all data collected throughout the process to enable further algorithm development.
Join our collaboration to develop software using machine vision to help further understanding of biological processes at the subcellular level.
