Dear colleagues,
A PDF position is available in the Ortega lab at McGill for a highly motivated candidate with an interest in cryo-EM and structural biology. This candidate should have a strong background and several years of experience in X-ray crystallography. The position is available immediately and is funded for four years. Initial contract will be for one year and then extended upon performance evaluation.
Our lab uses cryo-EM in combination with a variety of biophysical and biochemical techniques to study the process of assembly of the bacterial ribosome. Check our lab website for more details:

At McGill we have access to state-of-the art equipment for cryo-EM including a FEI Titan Krios + Gatan K3 (to be installed in May 2019), a Tecnai F20, Tecnai Spirit and Tecnai 12 (https://www.mcgill.ca/femr/). Montreal is one of the most vibrant and culturally rich city in North America.
