[3dem] Master internship followed by a PhD thesis - Image analysis methods to decipher biomolecular conformational variability from cryo-electron tomography data

Dear Colleagues,

I am looking for a Master student for a 5-6 months internship on the
development of image analysis methods to decipher biomolecular
conformational variability from cryo-electron tomography data. A successful
internship may lead to a PhD thesis in collaboration with a team from the
University of Melbourne (Australia), including yearly research stays at the
University of Melbourne (up to one month per year).
The funding for the future PhD thesis (start in September 2020) is assured.

The candidates should have a background in one or several fields such as
computer science, applied mathematics, theoretical physics, theoretical
chemistry.

Internship location: IMPMC - UMR 7590, Sorbonne Université, 4 place
Jussieu, 75005 Paris, France
Internship start date: Between February and April 2020.
