Departments of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry and Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and the Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry Department (MCB) at Indiana University (https://www.chem.indiana.edu/; http://www.indiana.edu/~mcbdept) invite applications for a position beginning August 2019 at the rank the Assistant or Associate Professor.

We are particularly interested in individuals working in the areas of structural biochemistry and/or chemical biology. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary cohort of researchers in the two highly collaborative departments.
They will be affiliated with Indiana University’s emerging Center for Chemical Biology and Biotherapeutics (C2B2) organized under the Precision Health Initiative (PHI; https://grandchallenges.iu.edu/precision-health/index.html) in collaboration with the Indiana University School of Medicine, and will have the opportunity be a trainer in our NIH-funded Chemistry-Biology Interface (CBI) training program in Quantitative and Chemical Biology (http://www.chem.indiana.edu/qcb/).

A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field and postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will be expected to develop or already have a visible, externally funded research program. Primary teaching responsibilities will be consistent with the expertise of the candidate and will include both graduate and undergraduate courses.

Applications completed by October 16, 2018 will receive full consideration, but review will continue until the position is filled. Interested candidates should submit a complete curriculum vitae, a summary of future research plans, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation to:
