[3dem] Any SubAngstrom storage system users?

Hi Toby,
We have at least one user at our facility who's purchased the system. I like that there's more room/space to maneuver than if you have a conical tube with 10 grid boxes and have a user who labels everything in the faintest shade of blue and makes the box unreadable to my aging eyes. It can sometimes be a wee painful to fish out the box you want when you're under LN2, but once your eyes adjust to having both the LN2 and the plastic lid there, you can generally move things around is some ease which I do with the big tweezers. I second the opinion that if you have access to a machine shop, have them make a prototype and test it. In the long run it may be more cost-effective and/or easier to modify if/as needed.
Best,
Mariena

Subject: [3dem] Any SubAngstrom storage system users?
Dear cryo-EM users,
I'm wondering if anyone has experience using the SubAngstrom grid
storage system? I'm looking for both positive and negative feedback,
but if you don't want to post directly to the list, feel free to email
me directly.
Thank you for any information that you may have.
Toby S
(I don't know whether I'm allowed to post links to company websites as
it may be seen as advertising, but the system is seen here:
https://subangstrom.com/).
