Dear All,

*Title:* Release of ResMap v1.95 (GPU-enabled) and work around for a
NumPy bug in v1.90.

We announce the release of a new version of ResMap (v1.95) for local
resolution
estimation in single-particle cryo-EM (web: https://sourceforge.net/
projects/resmap-latest/ ).

The main changes in this version are:

* It is GPU-enabled for faster computation, and
* Some of the numerical methods have been replaced with higher
  precision methods.

ResMap v1.05 enables GPU use for Linux machines, and CPU use for Linux and
MaxOsX machines.
ResMap v1.95 binaries, source code, pre-compiled CUDA kernel libraries, manual
and tar balls can be downloaded from
*https://sourceforge.net/projects/resmap-latest/files/?source=navbar
<https://sourceforge.net/projects/resmap-latest/files/?source=navbar>* .

The Linux tar balls have pre-compiled ResMap v1.95 python executable and
the pre-compiled GPU kernels (under CUDA-V9.0.102).The MacOsX tar ball only
contains the ResMap v1.95 python executable.

Pre-compiled GPU kernels are available for Linux. Please read the manual
(ResMap-manual_v-1.95.pdf) for details of Linux and CUDA compute models
that are supported.

The manual also has details of how the pre-compiled kernels are to be used
in ResMap.

NumPy Bug in v1.9: Two users have brought to our attention a bug in one of
the Python NumPy libraries. This bug affects the ResMap test which checks
whether the volume is low-pass filtered or not (see manual for more
details).
The bug has been corrected in release v1.90 and v1.95.

ResMap-1.90 has been extensively tested for the environments described
in the manual, but if you experience any problems or bugs please use
the Wiki and discussion available on the Download website mentioned above.
