Dear Colleagues,

The Wright lab and the Cryo-EM Center in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, seek to recruit enthusiastic scientists at all ranks (students, postdoctoral fellows, and staff scientists). The Cryo-EM Center will house a Titan Krios and a Talos Arctica (both equipped with the Falcon III detector, the Gatan Bioquantum K2(K3) energy filter-detector combination, and Volta phase plate); a Talos 120 kV screening TEM; and an Aquilos cryo-DualBeam system. Cryo-CLEM systems for correlative microscopy pipelines will be available. Ancillary specimen preparation equipment is in place. Biological emphasis areas include, but are not limited to: infectious disease (bacteria and viruses), neurodegenerative disorders, and DNA and RNA biology. Technology development interests are in the areas of correlative microscopy, sample preparation, and phase plate cryo-microscopy.

Depending on the post, candidates should have a strong interest and experience in structural biology or a related field, experience with EM and/or cryo-EM, and either a Masters or PhD. Strong communication and technical skills are essential. If interested, please send inquiries and application materials (cover letter, CV, names of 3 references) to erwright2 at wisc.edu<mailto:erwright2 at wisc.edu>.

Thanks,

Liz
