Postdoctoral Position in Cryo-Electron Microscopy
Seeking a highly motivated applicant for a Post-doctoral Research Associate position in the area of Structural and Membrane Biology. Current studies are focused on supramolecular organization and function of mitochondrial respiratory complexes and the role of membrane lipids in their organization and function using single particle cryo-EM to obtain high-resolution structures of several respiratory super-complexes. Only applicants with experience in cryo-EM and image processing will be considered for this position, which will be for a minimum of 2 years starting August 1, 2018. The research group is located in the Structural Biology Center (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) of the McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, TX. Our Structural Biology Center is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation including a Titan Krios cryo-electron microscope.
