Dear Colleagues,

There is currently an opening for a CryoEM technician to support the work of the Scottish Centre for Macromolecular Imaging (SCMI).
The SCMI is based in the University of Glasgow and aims to provide access to world-class cryoEM facilities for the structural biology communities of Scotland and Northern England.
We will be equipped with the newly designed JEOL cryo-GrandARM 300 automated TEM as well as a new JEOL F2cryo 200 keV machine.

Reporting to the SCMI facility manager, the post-holder will support researchers by setting up data collection sessions and working with them to develop projects from negative stain through to cryo.

Ideally the candidate will be an enthusiastic scientist with an aptitude for working with advanced instrumentation and experience of electron imaging.
Full training in all aspects of TEM for structural biology will be given.

Details of the post (021310) can be found here:

Best Wishes,
D.
