The Stevens Lab at the Bridge Institute at the University of Southern
California is looking to recruit 2 postdoctoral fellows/researchers to
focus on the determination of the 3-dimensional structure of the human
pancreatic beta cell and the integration of digital arts and sciences.
These exciting and pioneering areas are at the forefront of biological
discovery. Members of the Stevens lab are currently leading efforts in the
Pancreatic Beta Cell Consortium at the Bridge Institute and key
participants on the ‘World in a Single Cell’ project with USC’s World
Building Media Lab. Applicants from a broad range of backgrounds including
chemistry, biology, computer science, and cinema are encouraged to apply.
To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent)
in fields related to cell biology, molecular biology, structural biology,
chemistry or other related biological or chemistry field, or any
concentration/degree from cinematic arts and computer science. The
candidates should be highly motivated and interested in being involved in
team oriented, highly collaborative, integrated projects with high impact
outcomes. Individuals will be uniquely trained to become leaders in the
exciting area of convergent arts and sciences and will be highly
