Dear all, I'm happy to announce, research and facility staff opportunities in Umea, Sweden
Two postdoctoral fellowships to investigate the structural biology of membrane-protein complexes using cryo-EM
You will have the opportunity to explore your research project in a scientific environment including several research groups with extensive experience in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology and imaging. Both the Umeå Core facility for Electron Microscopy (www.kbc.umu.se/english/ucem/<http://www.kbc.umu.se/english/ucem/>), and the Biochemical Imaging Centre at Umeå University (www.kbc.umu.se/english/bicu/<http://www.kbc.umu.se/english/bicu/>) will be accessible as part of this project. The EM Facility was recently equipped with a new Titan Krios instrument with a phase plate and both Falcon 3 and K2 direct electron detectors and a Scios DualBeam (FIB-SEM with cryo stage). A total of 6 electron microscopes, together with sample processing facilities, will form a key foundation for this project.
