Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to ask for your help to identify of outstanding candidates for the 2018 National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Award for Scientific Reviewing, presented this year in structural biology.

This award recognizes authors who, through their conceptual consideration and review of the field, have both rendered a significant service to science and had a profound influence on the course of scientific thought. This year’s selection committee seeks nominations of those who have written reviews or technical concept pieces that have led to revolutionary advances to the development of methods in the field of structural biology. These areas include, but are not necessarily limited to: X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic spectroscopy, small angle x-ray scattering, mass spectrometry, light microscopy, computation, and single molecule studies.

The award is presented with a $20,000 prize. Additional information, including past recipients, eligibility requirements, and more can be found at: http://www.nasonline.org/scientific-review.

Nominations accepted through Monday, October 2, 2017.

Please help spread the word that the nomination process is underway.

Sincerely,

The NAS Award for Scientific Reviewing Selection Committee
