[3dem] Vacancy for Postdoctoral Research Associate

I am seeking an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral research associate to work in a growing team under the supervision of Professor Clair Baldock within the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research http://www.wellcome-matrix.org<http://www.wellcome-matrix.org/>. The Cell-Matrix centre is an interdisciplinary research centre embedded within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester. The post is funded by the BBSRC and will use cryoEM (FEI Polara with K2 camera) with biochemical and biophysical analyses to study the structure and function of latent TGFβ binding protein and its interaction with fibrillin, leading to an understanding of how TGFβ regulation is controlled by the matrix in tissue assembly and homeostasis. Applicants should have a PhD in Biochemistry, structural biology or a related discipline (candidates about to submit their PhD will be considered).


The position is full-time available from October 2016 for a period of 10 months.
