Dear Colleagues,

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center has an opening to join the newly established Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center as an Electron Microscopy Manager. The facility will specialize in the determination of protein structures using single particle cryo-electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography.

Primary responsibilities for the position include maintaining the facility to ensure efficient operation of the resources, training new users in sample preparation, data acquisition and data processing and supporting users in project development. Good communication skills, interest in technique development and the ability to teach users from diverse backgrounds are essential.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in the operation of transmission electron microscopes, preferably cryo-electron microscopes. Knowledge of structural biology methods including automated data collection and image processing are desirable, but not necessary as long as the candidate is willing to learn.

Enquiries regarding this position should be made to Dr. Richard Hite (hiter at mskcc.org<mailto:hiter at mskcc.org>).
