The position will join one of the major research groups within the British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence at King's College London. The successful applicant will be working in the newly refurbished and re-equipped centre for ultrastructural imaging at King's. For an informal discussion please contact Roland Fleck roland.fleck at kcl.ac.uk<mailto:roland.fleck at kcl.ac.uk>.
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate in the laboratory of Professor Kinya Otsu. The post holder will focus on ultrastructural biological analysis of the diseased heart. The collaborative project with Dr. Roland Fleck, Director of the Centre for Ultrastructural Imaging (CUI), proposed seeks to obtain 3D images of mitochondria using the state-of-art serial Block Face SEM (SBF-SEM) and STEM tomography.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field. Background in one or more of the following fields is desirable: electron microscopy, cell biology, fluorescence microscopy, and image analysis.
