Dear Colleagues

The Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a committed and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join the groups led by Dr Richard Hayward and Professor Helen Saibil carrying out collaborative research into the molecular and cellular mechanisms of Chlamydia infection [Nans et al (2014) Cell Microbiol 16:1457; Nans et al (2015) Nature Comm 6:10114]. This post, funded by the Medical Research Council, involves the application of electron tomography to study bacteria-host interactions. We are applying a combination of cell biology, imaging, and biochemical approaches to examine the cellular and biochemical actions of these intracellular bacteria on their eukaryotic host cells. Information on the research groups can be found at http://www.bbk.ac.uk/biology/our-staff/academic/dr-richard-hayward <http:////www.bbk.ac.uk/biology/our-staff/academic/dr-richard-hayward> and http://people.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/~ubcg16z/index.html<http:////people.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/%7Eubcg16z/index.html>

The closing date for applications is 28th February, and more details can be found here: http://jobs.bbk.ac.uk/fe/tpl_birkbeckcollege01.asp?s=4A515F4E5A565B1A&jobid=59892,2387211487&key=98250436&c=121434467621&pagestamp=seocldqkdhmwcrvodp
