Dear all,

In Grenoble, France, ESRF (The European Synchrotron Research Facility)
is setting up a new kind of beam line: a Krios electron microscope
equipped with a quantum energy filter and K2 plus Volta phase will be
installed soon. It will work like the other beam lines: facility open to
the ESRF user community.

There is an open position for a scientist in single particle
cryo-electron microscopy at ESRF in the structural biology group. The
successful candidate will carry out (with two other scientists)
commissioning, operation and further development of this new facility.

Grenoble is a vibrant and unique place to work:

-Scientifically the European Neutron and Photon campus comprises on the
same site the European Synchrotron Research Facility, the very high flux
neutron generator Institut Laue Langevin, the European Molecular Biology
Laboratory Grenoble Outstation and the Structural Biology Institute.
Their respective structural biology components are grouped in the
Partnership for Structural Biology comprising about 300 active scientists.

- Grenoble is situated at the heart of the French Alps and very well
renowned for ski and hiking as well as quality of life.

More details of the offer are given in the attached file. or on the
website (www.esrf.fr/Jobs)

If you are interested in this position, please apply at
http://www.esrf.fr/Jobs by January 15th 2017.

If you need more info please contact Gordon Leonard (leonard at esrf.fr)

Best regards
