Dear Community,
We have unique capability here at UTMB of cryo-imaging of highly infectious samples, i.e. viruses and bacteria. We could perform single particle imaging and electron tomography as well. 200 keV JEOL 2200FS is installed in a level 3 containment and the lab is CDC-certified for imaging of "live" agents immobilized in vitreous water. The microscope has omega electron energy filter and DE-20 direct electron detector camera. If you are interested in imaging wild type viruses or your colleagues are, please communicate directly with me (mbsherma at utmb.edu<mailto:mbsherma at utmb.edu>).
All the best,
