Hi,

in support of Marin's point I would like to add that in RU (real units) 3TB hard disk sells below 100.
To put things in perspective, some may still remember cost of EM film.  Also,
maintenance cost of Polara is ~250/day.  In short, the cost of storing
the data 'forever' is negligible in comparison with the overall cost of the project.
