Hello,
Postdoc positions are available in our lab at UT Houston Medical School. Our lab is interested in 3-D structure/function of molecular machines in cells (www.cryoet.org<http://www.cryoet.org>). Specifically, we develop two model systems (Lyme disease spirochete and bacterial minicell) to study fundamental biological processes, such as bacterial motility, signal transduction, protein secretion, and DNA translocation. Our projects are supported by multiple research grants from NIH, NIGMS, NIAID, and the Welch Foundation.
UT Medical School is equipped with advanced imaging facilities, including a 300kV cryo-electron microscope with FEG (FEI TF30 Polara) and a direct electron detector (Gatan K2 Summit). As part of the largest Medical Center in the world (www.texasmedicalcenter.org<http://www.texasmedicalcenter.org>), we have unlimited opportunities to collaborate and to do best possible sciences.
Candidate with strong motivation and experience in electron microscopy or image processing is encouraged to contact me for further information.
