A postdoc position is available in the Kollman lab in the Biochemistry
Department at the University of Washington studying the structural basis of
prokaryotic cellular organization, including structures of bacterial
cytoskeletal elements, organelles, and polymerizing enzymes. Our
structural approach includes single particle cryo-EM, cryo-electron
tomography, and x-ray crystallography. For information on ongoing projects
visit the lab website: www.kollmanlab.org

The Biochemistry Department has a state of the art facility fully equipped
for cryo-EM. We have a Tecnai F20 with a K-2 direct detect camera, a
Tecnai Spirit, and a Morgani.

Candidates should hold a PhD in biophysics, biochemistry or a related
field. Candidates with experience in cryo-EM or x-ray crystallography are
preferred, but outstanding candidates coming from other disciplines will
also be considered.

Interested candidates should send a CV and names of references to Justin
Kollman:
