Microscopy Research Specialist [Position #990899]

The Liquid Crystal Institute has an opening for a full-time Microscopy Research Specialist.  Responsibilities are to operate and maintain the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and freeze-fracture (FF) unit, and the coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscope (CARS);   perform research for LCI and other scientists as requested; order supplies and consumables; provide reports on research results and equipment use.

Requirements:  Master's degree (or higher) in physics, materials sciences, chemistry or related area, experience in conducting microscopy research, both electron and optical, and demonstrated skills and abilities in writing scientific reports and maintaining a laboratory notebook.

Application Deadline:  Open until filled Salary $36,000-$55,000, salary commensurate with skills.
