We are pleased to announce the agenda for the 

1st Workshop on Structural & Computational Biomedical Informatics and
Cryo-EM

                FromJune 08th 2009 to June 12th 2009

At the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC),
Hertfordshire, United Kingdom 

 

Professor Wah Chiu Baylor College of Medicine, JEOL (UK) Ltd and The
National Institute for Biological Standards and Control are holding the
Workshop on Structural & Computational Biomedical Informatics and
Cryo-EM.  The 5 day residential workshop (08/06/2009-12/06/2009) will
cover practical approaches to sample preparation and data collection,
single particle and tomographic reconstruction techniques, structural
mining of density maps, use of EMAN2 and latest training updates on
EMAN2 (working without symmetry).

 

The course will include lectures from experts in the field and time for
in-depth discussion on the topics covered.

 

This course aims to equip participants with a firm grasp of practical
methods and an understanding of theoretical knowledge allowing them to
continue these techniques in their own laboratories.
