One or two postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Qiu-Xing Jiang's 
laboratory in the Department of Cell Biology at UT Southwestern Medical 
Center. Research in the lab is focused on the biophysical understanding 
of ion channels and protein complexes involved in intracellular 
signaling. We utilize single particle electron cryo-microscopy and 
crystallography for structural studies and employ both /in vitro/ and 
/ex vivo/ systems to characterize the cellular functions of our 
interested targets.

Ideal candidates should have advanced degrees in modern biological 
sciences to start the job, and must be highly motivated in applying 
electron cryo-microscopy to addressing important biological questions. 
Experience in electron microscopy is a plus, but not necessary. 
Candidates with background in organic chemistry or good experience in 
electron microscopy will be seriously considered as well. Interested
