Hi,

Someone here is going to purchase a Denton Desk IV carbon evaporator
for use with a new SEM and I'm wondering whether anyone in the group has
experience making carbon foils for EM grids using this particular model.
This model does NOT have the turbo molecular pump and is marketed as
having a larger grain size than the turbo equipped model. I suspect
this will mean that the carbon layers it makes will not be great for
making grids, but if anyone has any experience, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks.
