Postdoctoral position in cryoEM and helical image analysis at Simon 
Fraser University, Burnaby, Canada

Job Description:

We have an immediate vacancy for a postdoc with experience in TEM 
imaging and image processing to pursue structural studies on Type IV 
pili, filamentous virulence factors on pathogenic bacteria. We use 
cryoEM and helical image analysis combined with x-ray crystallography 
and computational modeling to study pilus structure and assembly. See 
Craig et al., Molecular Cell, 2006, 2003. Candidates must have 
experience in TEM imaging: cryo-EM experience is preferred but not 
essential. Candidates must have a PhD, a strong interest in structural 
biology and good writing skills. The position is funded for two years, 
but the successful candidate will be expected to apply for postdoctoral
