available.

Several cryo-EM Postdoctoral and Staff Positions are available at
the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging (http://ncmi.bcm.tmc.edu),
Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. The NCMI's missions include
technology development, collaboration, service and training. Interested
individuals should enjoy collaborating with other investigators on diverse
biological specimens. Opportunities to pursue independent research will also
be available. Prior experience with transmission electron microscopy is useful
but not required.

The NCMI is one of the best equipped cryoEM facilities in the world,
including: four state of the art transmission electron microscopes, including
two 300 kev instruments with FEGs, liquid helium stages and 4k CCD cameras; two
vitrification robots; over 10 terabytes of database storage and linux clusters
with over 200 CPUs.

Houston is the 4th largest city in the US. It is consistently ranked one of
the friendliest cities in the country and has an active cultural life including
a large museum district, performance venues second only to New York and new
stadiums for football, basketball and baseball. Despite this, housing
costs are very low. The NCMI is located at Baylor College of Medicine in the
Texas Medical Center. The TMC contains over 40 non-profit instituitions
including 13 hospitals and 2 medical schools.

Interested individuals should contact Dr. Wah Chiu via email
(wah at bcm.tmc.edu).
