Scientific/Technical Manager for CryoEM facility.

CMM (Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis) and NANO (Nanostructural
Analysis Network Organisation) have recently installed a Tecnai Field
Emission (FEG) 300keV transmission cryo-electron microscope, with GIF
and Gatan 4K CCD's. This is the most advanced of its type in Australia
and will be housed in the CMM laboratories of the Queensland Bioscience
Precinct, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

In addition the advanced cryoEM facility has a Tecnai 12 twin with cryo
capability, Vitobot, Baltec HPF, cryoultramicrotomes, Nikon scanners and
is supported by high performance computing.
High resolution cryo-electron microscopy has been established at the
University of Queensland through the research drive of the following
groups, Associate Professor Alasdair McDowall, Dr. Ben Hankamer, Dr.
Brad Marsh, Professor Rob Parton and Professor John Drennan.

We are casting wide for a suitable candidate Scientific/Technical
Manager who will train new users in the operation of the new instrument
and ensure that the instruments produce high quality data and be
responsible for continuing lab routine maintenance.

This is a three (3) year fixed term contract at HEW Level 7. The
remuneration package will be in the range of A$60,303.98 - A$65,956.68
per annum, including employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
