Invitation for submissions to special issue of JSB

Dear Colleague

We would like to extend an invitation to contribute to a special
issue of JSB to focus on technical aspects of single particle
processing. Specifically we are soliciting contributions discussing
proposed new techniques, software, and space allowing, specific
applications of single particle techniques. Papers discussing techniques
for analysis and evaluation of models produced by single particle
techniques will also be considered. Papers from participants in the NCMI's
workshop on techniques in single particle processing this year
(http://ncmi.bcm.tmc.edu/workshoplibrary/2000/SingPart/) will form the
core of this special issue. All manuscripts will be subjected to JSB's
normal refereeing process. The deadline for submission is December 1,
2000. Wah Chiu and Steve Ludtke will be the guest editors for this special
issue. If you are interested in submitting a manuscript for this special
issue, please inform sludtke at bcm.tmc.edu as soon as possible, 
Sept 8, 2000 at the latest.
