[3dem] PhD position in organellar structural biology

We have a fully funded open position for a PhD student in our group located at the University Medical Center Göttingen and the Max-Planck-Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Göttingen, Germany.

Our team studies the structure and function of molecular machineries involved in gene expression in eukaryotic cells and organelles, such as mitochondria and chloroplasts. We combine structural biology (single-particle cryo-electron microscopy, X-Ray crystallography and cryo-electron tomography) with biochemical, biophysical and cellular approaches to dissect these processes from the atomic to the organellar scale.
