We are delighted to call for nominations for the Kenneth S. Cole Award, a prestigious recognition given to one or more researchers in the field of membrane biophysics in acknowledgment of their exceptional research accomplishments, potential for future contributions, and service to the biophysics community. Previous unsuccessful nominations are welcome to be resubmitted.
The awardee will be invited to speak at the Channels, Receptors & Transporters (CRT) subgroup symposium on Saturday February 20, 2027 in Philadelphia, PA, on the opening day of the annual Biophysical Society Meeting, and the award will be presented at the CRT award dinner the same evening.
Nomination packets must include the following:
1. A nomination letter from a CRT subgroup member summarizing the qualifications and scientific achievements of the nominee, emphasizing the contributions that the nominee has made to the membrane biophysics community (2 page limit)
2. Up to two supporting letters (2 page limit per letter)
3. Nominee’s curriculum vitae (5 page limit)
Nomination packets that do not respect the limits, and/or include more than three letters (one nomination, up to two support letters) will be discarded. Multiple nominations for the same candidate will also not be taken into consideration.
