[3dem] Reminder – Autumn school on single particle cryo-EM, 19–23 Oct 2026 at the EMBL Imaging Centre in Heidelberg

Dear Community,

There is *one week* left to apply to the 3rd Edition of our*“Autumn 
school on single particle cryo-EM: from sample to 3D reconstruction”* 
taking place *19–23 October 2026* at the *EMBL Imaging Centre in 
Heidelberg, Germany*.

This course is co-organized with the Heidelberg University and is aimed 
at PhD students, early career researchers as well as facility staff 
working in the field, who are new to or have just started utilizing 
single particle cryo-EM in their research.

Over five days, the autumn school will focus on basics of the workflow 
covering:

     •  Theoretical background and practicals delivered by experts in 
the field
     •  Sample preparation, grid screening and high-end data collection
     •  Image processing and data analysis

The course is *free of charge* including coffee breaks, lunches and the 
course dinner. Travel and accommodation need to be organized and covered 
by the participants.

*Places are limited to 8 participants and the application deadline is 
*13th September*.
