Hi,
We have been amazed and delighted by the engagement with our virtual SPA mini-course with the RMS. The final part on data processing, will take place from 7 PM Central European time, on Tuesday 5th May with Rich Waldo from Bio-Structura Inc and Colin McManus of NYSBC, and again featuring the popular break out room session! If you missed the first 2 sessions, you can still register at the link below to watch the last part live, and we will share the recorded sections of the whole course for on demand viewing shortly.

Webinars will be on 14th and 21st April and 5th May at 6 PM BST and each webinar will be accompanied by a breakout room session where attendees can ask our experts will be offering short demonstrations and answering questions.

Practical SPA processing tips - Turning raw data into reliable 3D structures

Rich Waldo (Bio-Structura, Inc) and Colin McManus (NYSBC)

Processing can feel like the hardest part of single particle analysis (SPA), especially when the dataset is large, the sample is heterogeneous, or the workflow isn't fully standardized. Session 3 in our three-part educational webinar series on the SPA workflow in cryo-EM will have experts from Structura Biotechnology, Inc and the NIH National Centers for Cryo-EM sharing advice on how to maximize the quality of your structures.

The session focuses on practical decision making and best practices to help you move from raw data to interpretable 3D reconstructions with greater confidence, including:

  * How to evaluate dataset quality early and diagnose limitations
  * Key steps in visualization, particle picking, classification, and refinement
  * Fundamentals of 3D reconstruction workflows
  * Software and compute considerations for building an efficient pipeline
  * Tips for improving reproducibility and scaling your processing approach

Look forward to seeing some of you there!
