[3dem] Join us for the 2026 VAI Structural Biology Symposium

Dear Colleagues,
Registration is now open for the 2026 VAI Structural Biology Symposium, which will be held July 31 at Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Our outstanding lineup of speakers will highlight advances in cryo-EM and cryo-ET, including sample preparation strategies and computational approaches that are transforming structural biology. The keynote lecture, Molecular sociology of an archaeal cell, will be delivered by Z. Hong Zhou, Ph.D., of the University of California, Los Angeles.
In addition to showcasing the latest research, the symposium celebrates the installation of VAI’s Arctis PFIB/SEM. This powerful platform enables new in situ studies and represents a major step forward for structural biology research in Michigan.
We especially encourage our neighbors in the Midwest to attend this one-day event. For those outside the area, the end of July is peak season for beautiful weather by the lakeshore, which is less than an hour drive from the Institute.
Registration is $100 for non-trainees and $50 for postdoctoral fellows and students. This includes coffee, refreshments and lunch.
