[3dem] Postdoctoral Research Position in RNA Structural Biology and Cryo-EM

The Wang RNA Lab in the Department of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to study the structure and function of RNA, with a particular focus on cryo-EM.

Our lab investigates how the structures of noncoding RNAs contribute to cancer and rare diseases, with a particular focus on RNA recognition by protein partners and small molecules. By understanding these interactions at the molecular and mechanistic levels, we aim to uncover new principles of RNA biology and identify novel strategies for RNA-targeted therapeutics.

We take an integrative structural biology approach, combining cryo-EM, NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, chemical probing, biochemical and biophysical assays, and high-throughput screening for drug discovery. The postdoctoral fellow will have access to state-of-the-art cryo-EM and NMR facilities, as well as a broad range of complementary structural biology and biochemical resources.

Candidates with a strong background in structural biology, cryo-EM, RNA biology, biophysics, biochemistry, or related fields, as well as a strong record of research and peer-reviewed publications, are encouraged to apply. Experience with cryo-EM or other structural biology techniques is highly desirable.
