[3dem] PhD position available to work on protein folding problem

Dear 3DEM community,

Our new lab at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is recruiting a highly motivated Ph.D. student to join our group beginning in Fall 2027.

Our lab uses cryo-electron microscopy and complementary biochemical, biophysical, and computational approaches to investigate the structures, dynamics, and mechanisms of chaperonin assisted protein folding involved in cellular regulation and disease. The successful student will have the opportunity to develop and apply cutting-edge methods in single-particle cryo-EM, cryo-electron tomography, image analysis, and integrative structural biology.

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology or related fields. Highly motivated applicants with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research, critical thinking, and collaborative science are especially valued.
