We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Ron Milligan, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in San Diego, California. Ron was a pioneer and founding member of the 3DEM community, and a brilliant cell biologist whose work focused on molecular motor proteins. He will be deeply missed by his friends and colleagues.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Jean, his children, Sarah and Tessa, and their families.
