The Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) is hiring a tenure-track group leader in Structural Biology. We are looking for an innovative scientist with a research program focused on mechanistic questions that are related to genome regulation, RNA metabolism, or protein homeostasis. We are especially interested in candidates using cutting-edge structural biology approaches, including single particle cryo-electron microscopy and/or tomography.

The FMI is a world-class biomedical research institute affiliated with the University of Basel and Novartis Biomedical Research. Basel is a leading European hub for life sciences with many opportunities in academia, as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The city is home to a diverse international population and has several multilingual schools.
