[3dem] postdoc on amyloids

Dear colleagues,

We have a 3-year funded postdoc position available in my group, to work 
on the structural biology of amyloid filaments from neurodegenerative 
disease. Depending on the background of the candidate, the project would 
explore either laboratory-based model systems (with purified recombinant 
proteins or cells) for the formation of amyloid filaments with the same 
structures as those observed in human brain; the development of 
structure-specific binders; or the ultra-structural organisation of 
amyloid filaments in brain tissue using correlative light and electron 
microscopy and cryo-electron tomography. See below for a few relevant 
publications.

If you are an expert in protein biochemistry or structural biology (NMR, 
X-ray or cryoEM/ET), this could be for you!
