[3dem] open PhD position in Umeå, Sweden - cryo-ET of virus replication - deadline 4 May

Dear colleagues,
My group has an open PhD position - deadline 4 May. I'd be happy if you could forward this message to people with relevant background in your community (or apply yourself if you are that person!). The position is for 4-5 years and fully funded. Nationality and residency do not play a role in the selection process.

The PhD student will be working on in situ structural studies of arbovirus replication, using lots of cryo-ET, cell biology and biochemistry. We have the full suite of cell biology, virology and biochemistry equipment, and the Swedish national cryo-EM facility (which is BSL2-approved) is in the same building as our lab. There is room for customising the project, which will be carried out in the context of a long-term, collaborative network grant with some very cool collaborators that do everything from animal experiments to analytical mathematical models of membrane remodelling.
