Interested in learning more about all aspects of electron microscopy (TEM, SEM, and cryo-EM)? The Fred Hutch EM Shared Resource in Seattle is expanding, and we are looking to hire an EM specialist to join us-- previous experience is not required! The facility is led by Melody Campbell and currently Caleigh Azumaya and supports ~30 labs doing a wide array of science.

The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality samples and images of those samples for internal and external researchers. Clear written and oral communication with managers and users is necessary for this position. Time management skills and practical applications of electron microscopy are important for success.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn from our experienced staff members to support thin section TEM sample prep and imaging, low voltage SEM sample prep and imaging, and the entire single-particle cryo-EM pipeline from carbon coating grids to data processing. Previous experience in one or more of these fields is preferred but NOT required.
