Hi Eric,
Our issue with that part was the end of the screw was not holding the rod tightly anymore. I used a tiny bit of moldable glue (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://sugru.com/__;!!Mih3wA!XRZwYTK1SFFSyCuXiedM-KALAAQu3TMO5w1-bIutsBEhNgnX1WbeV4qnskVe_G39IA$ ) to build up this end and then it held the rod. I only used this for 1-2 weeks while waiting for a new part to arrive so I cannot attest to the longevity of the fix.
Melissa

Subject: [3dem] Gatan 626 part
Hi all,
I am after a little trick, if anyone has one to replace the little black plastic screws that permit to retract the sample protection cover on a 626 holder. The Gatan rep in Australia charges more than $300 per screw …. There are two of them plus a barrel in between.
Does anyone has a hack for this?
Regards
Eric
