Please see below a newly posted cryoEM opening in our Boston-area group. This is an extendable 12-month position. We are especially interested in candidates with strong computational skills interested to contribute to our cryo-EM data processing workflow.

Job Title: Scientist I
Duration: 12+ months (extendable) contract on W2
Sanofi's Integrated Drug Discovery department has an exciting opportunity for a structural biologist to contribute to biopharma research. This is a 12 month position. The scientist will help expand the successful cryoEM unit in our Waltham, MA structural biology group actively applying cryoEM to a variety of discovery programs. The candidate will conduct all aspects of the single particle cryoEM process, from sample preparation and data collection through 3-D reconstruction.
Responsibilities:
* Collaboratively provide cryoEM support for research teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
* Contribute to developing our systems and competencies in cryoEM
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* MS or PhD in protein biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology or related discipline.
* Expertise in cryo-EM grid preparation and screening and data collection.
* Single particle EM data processing, three-dimensional structure determination and model building.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Self-motivated and able to handle multiple challenging projects in parallel
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to enhance team-based progress
* Ability to work independently and effectively within timelines and collaborate in a highly multidisciplinary environment
* Experience with recombinant protein techniques including construct design, protein expression, purification and biophysical characterization
* Strong computational skills
