Dear all,
I would like to draw the attention to a series of cryo-EM related openings in our new Ernst-Ruska-Centre 3 for Structural Biology at the Research Centre Jülich (Germany):
1. Structural biology scientist for protein purification
2. Cryo-EM specialist
3. PhD positions on autophagy and cryo-EM method development
The Ernst Ruska-Centre (ER-C) at the Forschungszentrum Jülich houses some of the world's most advanced electron microscopes and tools for nanocharacterisation. The scientific research covers current issues in condensed matter physics and from now on cryo-EM on biomacromolecules and in the future development of electron microscopy. The ER-C has a total of 13 electron microscopes including the PICO FEI Titan with a point resolution of 0.5 Å. The facility has been extended with state-of-the-art cryo-microscopes FEI Talos Arctica including Bioquantum K3 and FEI Talos 120. The Structural Biology division of the ER-C investigates the structural and molecular mechanism of autophagy and pushes the development of cryo-EM related methodology. The Jülich campus hosts a vibrant electron microscopy, biophysics and structural biology community.
