[3dem] Using a scroll pump with a thermal evaporator

Dear Colleagues,

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with buying a carbon/metal evaporator that has been upgraded with an oil-free scroll pump? The price difference (between a scroll pump and an conventional rotary pump) is minimal, but I am concerned about reliability or other issues.
